Children of students of the Phillips University/staff members of the Phillips University Hospital,who are registered citizens in Marburg

Age: Children must be between 9 months and 3 years of age.
Those who come first will be admitted first, yet we do take certain aspects into consideration such as single-parents, parents with a low monthly income and parents with more that one child in the daycare unit.

All admissions will be done in accordance to the regulations of the city of Marburg.

As there is a great demand for places in our daycare centre we advise young parents to hand in application forms shortly after the birth of their baby. Application forms can be obtained from the daycare centre or the Student Council.

Applications for admission must be addressed to the daycare unit ( KiTa)

The daycare centre offers it services for up to 40 youngsters. the children are aged between nine months and three years. The children are taken care off by eight educators, two pedagogy students and four social assistant trainees. A cook takes care of the special nutritional needs of the infants and toddlers.

The children learn and play in groups where representatives of all ages can be found. This provides the little ones with a homely environment and help them develop their social skills. Our highly qualified staff keep the children busy with educational, yet playful, activities. The cooperation between parent and educator is very important to us and it is of interest for your child. Especially during the initial phase when the children must still adapt to the new environment, it is important that the parents take an active part in the children's daily routine at the centre.
