Casualty insurance for students

For casualties occurring during lectures, excursions, university sport, on your way to and from the university etc during the period of enrollment it is compulsory for you to have casualty insurance. The insurance covers all casualties connected to the university.

  • The statutory casualty insurance covers the following:
  • Medical treatment (eg. treatment costs, doctors fees, transport to hospital, costs for bandages, therapy )
  • Social and occupational rehabilitation
  • Financial strain
  • Replacement of utilities damaged by the casualty (eg glasses)
  • More information about the statutory casualty insurance is available online at www.ukh.de or at the INFO of the Student Council Marburg under "Unfallkasse Hessen".

Reporting a casualty

In the case of casualties you must report this to the health section of the Student Council. The necessary paperwork is done in room 304 of the Student house at Erlenring.

Report forms can be obtained directly from the care-takers in the sport halls should a casualty take place during university sport. Please note that these forms must be handed in at the health section of the university as well. Neglecting the report may lead to delay in the process of receiving assistance from the casualty insurance company.
