Music and Dance

Live music is not a rare thing in Marburg!  The three culture centres offer a wide variety for young and old,  Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, A capella, Tango, Ska, Punk, Reggae, world music. The Jazz initiative JIM and the Folklore club offer more variety.  Clssical music is well represented in Marburg, apart from the two Concert Associations two Symphony Orchestras countless choirs offer their sweet sounds.

Marburg plays music:

If one wishes to describe Marburgs music, one must describe all musical directions one can think off: from Renaissance, to jazz, from modern to Hip Hop. There is a Musical concerts association, and a Musicians Association where Rock is written big. The Students Symphony Orchestra and the Marburger Philharmonic even plays at the local city festival "3 Tage Marburg" every year.
