Environment-Agenda 2010

The environmental politics of the Student Council in Marburg.

We took a closer look at the environment, and the way we interact with it. We found that:

  • Ecology and economy can go hand in hand. We take great care to make decisions that have a positive influence on the environment. Only in minor cases we must consider financial aspects more important than ecological aspects.

  • We meet regularly with our staff members to inform them about environmental awareness. Being aware of the environment and the impact of our actions on it inspires us to take great care in our actions. Environmental care is important to us.

  • The way we manage our institution must not damage the environment in any way. We regularly proof our techniques and actions to see where we can make improvement.

  • We follow the rules and regulations about environmental care prescribed by the government. We even do more than that, we would like to minimise the negative influences of human waste on the environment. We voluntarily take part in regular controls from the government.
  • We work on reducing the production of waste water, gasses, noise etc. We keep us informed about the latest technology that assists us in doing so.
  • We choose suppliers of services who consider the environment as an asset, and respects it.
  • We are open for critic, and gladly receive suggestions from the community.
