What will it cost me to study in Marburg?
Educational costs are the following:
Educational costs (institutional costs, university fees) and
Living costs during your studies (individual costs).
The financial question is very important when one decides to enroll at an university. How much do I need every month, how can I finance my studies and who can help me?. The majority of students finance their studies with a variety of methods.
More about financial questions under "Ein Studium finanzieren" .
Educational costs are dependent on your individual study direction. For your first course of studies at the Philipps-Universität Marburg no study fees are applicable, provided you finish your studies in due time. (The number of semesters allowed for your course can be found in the study regulations booklet) Administration fees are 50 €/Semester.
Independent from this administration fee is the Semester fee. The semester fee is compounded by:
- the AStA fee,
- a fee for the Student Council,
- a fee for the Semester ticket.
an additional Internet fee of 5,00 €/Semester should you wish to make use of the university facilities.
The current semester fee and administration fee added together is currently 198,70 € for the winter semester 2005/2006.
